Anthony L. Bui, MD, MPH (He/Him) is a board-certified general pediatrician at Harborview Medical Center and is a faculty-scientist at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Research Institute, where he researches youth mental health and access to care. Dr. Bui finds great joy in taking a strengths-based approach to caring for children and believes in the importance of learning about a child’s social and family circumstances, cultural background, and personal strengths and aspirations to best care for a child and improve their health and well-being. He is committed to caring for patients and families from all backgrounds, especially those from refugee and immigrant families. Dr. Bui earned his M.D. from University of California, Los Angeles as a David Geffen Medical Scholar, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and obtained his M.P.H. from the University of Washington School of Public Health. He completed his pediatric residency and chief residency at UW and Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he was awarded the Abraham B. Bergman Prize for his exemplary care to pediatric patients and families at Harborview Medical Center. He received the Anne E. Dyson Child Advocacy Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2021.
