James A Chattra

Dr. James Chattra has been with our practice since 2001. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and completed medical school at Columbia University. Drawn to pediatrics from a young age, he feels fortunate to live out his lifelong calling. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Chattra worked as a schoolteacher for refugee children—an experience close to his heart. His children have four immigrant grandparents who overcame great challenges, and he holds a deep respect for the resilience of families building new lives through adversity. He has served as Executive Director of the North Pacific Pediatric Society, supporting pediatric continuing education, and as a member of the Washington State Vaccine Advisory Committee. Outside of work, Dr. Chattra enjoys playing outdoors, great story-telling and tabletop games. Occasionally, providers may not be accepting new patients.
